Geeks At Large Hybrid2 Production Edition

So hey, upgraded to a larger module and now have your old module sitting around with nothing to do? Or maybe you want a whole separate tumbler machine? This might be the product for you….a tumbler laser engraving machine, Geeks At Large Hybrid2.

Hybrid2 is a smaller, purpose built engraving machine. Why use a giant sized engraving machine for doing such routine work as tumblers, glasses, and other cylinders? Then there is the need for leg extensions, Z extensions, etc etc. The Geeks At Large Hybrd2 skips all that stuff. It’s all X (left/right), no Y (front/back), plus Z (up/down), with an engraving area of ~8″ (180mm), with a metal frame which you can square your rotary against. Hybrid2 is compatible with the following modules: xTool D1 Standard & D1 Pro up to 20W, and IR Atomstack M30,M40, & M50 TwoTree TTS series 2.5W, 5.5W, and 10W Sculpfun S9 series (Custom mounts can be made upon request) Modules mate to the Geeks At Large Hybrid2 with a fine adjust style mount similar to the one offered by Alive Pixel Creations. The X gantry can be moved up an down, as can the module in the carrier, giving you up to ~6″ (150mm) of clearance for your vessels. Use Hybrid2 to handle all your rotary needs, while your bigger and beefier engraver tackles the large jobs with flat material.

Driving the Geeks At Large Hybrid2 is the stripped down version of our Devil1, bringing over most all the same features, (LCD interface, wifi interface, offline control, etc). This includes the SD card slot is present, allowing you to set up jobs in Lightburn, copy them to the Hybrid2, and run them with no PC connected.

• Can I use Laserbox Basic or XCS? – No, sorry. xTool was unwilling/unable to sell me control boards.
• Can I use my RA1/RA2 rotary with it? – You betcha, rotaries are generic
• Do I lose any functionality? – Nope, all good
• Does it work with the IR modules? – Yes, no problem, .
• What’s the top speed? – I’ve ramped it up to 15000 mm/m, with no extra tuning.
• Is the LCD horizontal like it is on the Devil1? – Yes, yes it is, as Devil1 is brains of this operation
