xGantry Conversion Kit from Geeks At Large  a turns your spare xTool D1 series gantry into a tumbler making beast!  Similar to our Hybrid2 machine, but reusing all the leftover bits from a 40W upgrade.    In order to keep costs down, the kit comes with all the parts needed to do the conversion except the heavy ones which are cheaper to get from Amazon thanks to their dirt cheap shipping.

What’s in the kit:

  • Box for control board
  • All the hardware that is difficult to get in small quantities (screws, nuts, brackets, knobs, etc)
  • Adapters to mount gantry to moving trolleys

What you supply:

  • xTool D1 series gantry
  • xTool wire harness
  • xTool D1 series control board

    Good design, frustrating assembly.
    Don’t know if something changed recently, but every screw seemed to be a couple mm too short. Couldn’t get the t-nuts threaded more than a quarter turn before sliding into the extrusion, so they kept falling off or stripping out.
    3d printed case for the control box is great! Cool metallic color too. But the provided screws to close the case aren’t long enough to accommodate the included rubber feet and still close the case. I just glued the feet on next to the screws.
    Good use for the leftover parts and it engraves well. Takes up way less space than the stock x tool.
