TwoTrees TTS Series LCD & Limit Switch Kit Intro
Ok, friends, it’s time to upgrade your TwoTrees TTS Series machines to add limit switches and an LCD. This should be a pretty painless process, taking less than 15min to complete.

- How do I need new firmware?
- No, the firmware you have is already good to go
- Do I need to buy anything else?
- No, everything you need it in the kit already
- Does this void my warranty?
- There is no reason adding this upgrade should impact your warranty
Software
Lightburn Files:
lbset – This file is used to set up the machine parameters either after firmware flashing, or, to get to a known working state. It use it, In Lightburn, do
- Edit – Machine Settings – Load from File.
- After loading this file, click the Write button and watch for the message that confirms write was successful
- Close Machine Settings
- Power off TTS
- Power on TTS
TwoTrees TTS Series LCD & Limit Switch Kit Installation
Limit Switches
Step 1: Using the 2 supplied M4 screws and 2 T Nuts, attach Y Limit Switch in inside of left rail and connect the limit switch cable marked “Y Limit”
Step2: Remove the two screws from the left end of the X gantry
Step 3: Reuse the 2 screws to attach X Limit Switch to X gantry, and attached cable marked X limit
Step 4: On the control box, remove the two screws holding it to the frame
Step 5: Remove rear control box plate by removing the 4 screws, one in each corner
Step 6: Run wires through hole in control box plate
Step 7: Connect X limit cable to X limit port and Y limit cable to Y limit port
Now would be a good time to install the LCD cables as well
Step 8: Reverse steps to close box and reattach to frame
Step 9: Manage cables
LCD
Step 1: On the control box, remove the two screws holding it to the frame
Step 2: Remove rear control box plate by removing the 4 screws, one in each corner
Step 3: Run LCD cables through hole in the side of control box plate, close to the EXP1 and EXP2 ports
Step 4: Connect LCD cables to to the EXP1 and EXP2 ports
Mark cables to match EXP1 and EXP2
Step 5: Reverse steps to close box and reattach to frame
Step 6: Using the 4 supplied M3 screws LCD to LCD bracket, with EXP1 and EXP2 connectors on the left (when viewed from the rear)
Step 7: Using the 2 supplied M4 screws and T Nut, attach LCD bracket to frame, to the right of the control box
Step 8: Connect LCD cables to LCD, making sure to match marking from Step 4
Troubleshooting
- The limit switch isn’t coming in contact with the module carrier/gantry roller
- Press and hold the button on the limit switch, gently bend the arm of the limit switch out slightly from the free end, and test connection with the module carrier/gantry roller.
- The module is moving opposite of the direction is should
- The lbset file was not loaded correctly. See above for the correct file.
