How does K40 C02 Rotary Switch work?
When you want to use do flat engraving, put the switch in the Y position. When you want to do rotary work, move the switch to the R position. The final position, “-” does nothing.
Will this work with rotary units from other manufacturers?
Yup! If it works with your K40 C02 already, it works with the rotary switch.
Software
No additional software required, this is purely hardware.
Installation for most type machines
Power off machine
Access the machine controller
Unplug Y axis stepper motor cable from Y axis port on controller
Install the switch cable plug into the Y axis port on controller
K40 C02 Controller Type 1K40 C02 Controller Type 2, MonportK40 C02 Controller Type 3, M2 Nano
Plug Y axis stepper motor into the switch cable connector marked “Y”
Plug rotary cable into remaining switch cable
Using the two included adhesive strip, mount the switch where it’s convenient for you
Using the two included cable clips, organize the cables so that they are out of the way and will not tangle with the laser
All done!!
