- How do I connect a rotary?
- Disconnect stepper cables from both Y stepper motors
- Connect rotary cable to extension cable on back of control box
- If you don’t have an extension cable on the back of your control box, please message us
- In Lightburn, set rotary to Y axis
- Can I use a rotary switch like the one from Matt Caswell?
- Yes, but you will need to disconnect one of the stepper motor cables, Y2 most likely
Software
lbdev: Needed to set up your machine with Lightburn
lbset: Need to reconfigure you machine back to defaults if needed
Installation
Follow included manual for main assembly instructions
Additional Assembly: For add on items (LCD, limit switches, etc)
Wiring Setup:
- Connect Y limit switch cable from control box to limit switch in left front corner
- Connect X limit switch cable from control box to limit switch on left side of gantry
- Connect LCD cables from control box to LCD, making sure to connect the marked cable to the marked port on the LCD cable
- Connect module cable from control box to module
- Connect supplied power cord to control box
- Connect supplied USB cable to control box
- Power on Hybrid1
Lightburn Setup:
- In Lightburn, on the Laser tab, click the Devices button
- Click the Import button
- Select the lbdev file for Hybrid1 (see Software, above)
- Click Ok button
Hybrid1 should now appear in your Devices list
- Connect to your Hybrid1 machine
- Do Edit – Machine Settings
- Click the Load from File button
- Select the lbset file (see Software, above)
- Click the Write button
Hybrid1 should now be ready for use
