Laser Engraving Area Surface Protector for xTool F1 F1 Lite F2

Protect the engraving area of your xTool F1, F1 Lite, or F2 with two reversible, replaceable work surfaces designed to take the damage so your machine doesn’t have to.

The Geeks At Large Laser Engraving Area Surface Protector kit provides two sacrificial protective plates with four usable surfaces. The kit includes one aluminum plate and one powder-coated steel plate, and both plates can be flipped over and used on either side.

When one surface becomes heavily scratched, marked, or worn, simply turn the plate over for a fresh working surface. With two reversible plates included, each kit gives you the equivalent of four sacrificial protective surfaces before the plates need to be replaced.

Protect the Original Engraving Area

Laser engravers are working machines, and the area beneath your projects eventually shows it. Cutting completely through material, misplaced jobs, incorrect settings, scratches, residue, and everyday use can all leave permanent marks on the original surface of the machine.

These plates are designed to take that wear instead.

Install either plate over the original engraving area using the included mounting screws and use your laser normally. Scratches, discoloration, cutting marks, and accidental laser exposure accumulate on a replaceable surface instead of the machine underneath.

They’re sacrificial surfaces by design. They’re supposed to get used.

Two Reversible Plates — Four Protective Surfaces

Both included plates are designed to be used on either side.

When one side has accumulated more scratches, laser marks, or other wear than you’d like, remove the mounting screws, flip the plate over, reinstall it, and continue working with the opposite surface.

That gives you:

• 2 usable surfaces on the aluminum plate
• 2 usable surfaces on the powder-coated steel plate
• 4 sacrificial protective surfaces in one kit

Rather than replacing a plate as soon as one side becomes heavily marked, simply flip it over and keep going.

The two included plates also give you a choice of working surfaces.

Aluminum Plate
A durable aluminum sacrificial surface for everyday engraving, cutting, material testing, and general use.

Powder-Coated Steel Plate
A sacrificial protective surface with the additional advantage of being magnetic, allowing you to incorporate magnets and magnetic accessories into your positioning and fixturing setups.

Use magnets to help position materials, create temporary stops, or build repeatable setups directly on the steel work surface.

Whichever plate best suits the job can be installed using the included mounting screws.

A pristine protective plate isn’t the goal.

Important Notes

Both plates are intentionally designed as sacrificial wear surfaces. Scratches, discoloration, engraving marks, cutting marks, and other signs of normal use are expected.

Both sides of each plate can be used. When one surface becomes excessively marked or worn for your preference, flip the plate over and reinstall it.

The powder-coated steel plate can be used with magnets and magnetic positioning accessories. Magnets are not included.

Always ensure that workpieces, magnets, fixtures, and other accessories have adequate clearance from the laser head and other moving components before operating the machine.
